1. Women in Black in Augusta

17.12.29 WinB Winter

Too much fun! One degree below zero and snow on the ground as the Augusta Women in Black held their final peace vigil of 2017. As usual, passerbys honked their horns and held up peace signs while Cathryn, Sally, Lucia, Jimmy, Hillary and The Maine Paparazzi braved the sub zero temp to echo the words of Benjamin Franklin, "Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors and let every new year find you a better man".
Since beginning in 2002, Augusta Women in Black will soon enter the 17th year of continually holding weekly peace vigils in Augusta in front of Lithgow Public Library on Friday from 12:30 to 1:00 PM. Please consider joining us.
