Lights for Liberty: A Nationwide Vigil to End Human Detention Camps was held at 9:00 PM on July 12, 2019 in front of the Maine State House in Augusta. Standing in opposition to the "concentration camps" set up by the Trump administration, over 170 central Maine human rights activists held candles at the vigil organized by Capital Area Indivisible, Suit Up Maine, Central Mainers for Change, Maine Women’s Lobby and Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine.
