18.02.13 Health Care Now! Rally
Planned Parenthood of Northern New England held a Health Care Now! Rally on 2/13/18 at 5:30 p.m. on the steps between the Cross Office Building and the Maine State House prior to Governor LePage's State of the State address.
After the people of Maine voted overwhelmingly last year to expand access to Medicaid for 70,000 Maine families, Governor LePage and his legislative lackeys are working to delay implementation and weaken the law.
Over 200 Maine health activists stood in twilight 20 degree weather testifying that Maine voters are watching and will not accept any more delays or attempts to weaken the new Medicaid expansion law. All Mainers need health care, now!
At the close of the rally, the Maine health activists entered the State House to speak to their legislators.
