15.06.30 Impeach Governor LePage Rally at State House

Expecting just over 100 people, organizers of the rally to impeach Governor LePage on June 30, 2015 at the State House were pleased with a turnout of over 350 people. The rally was called following allegations that the Republican governor blackmailed the Good Will-Hinckley School to have a political opponent, Speaker of the House Mark Eves, fired. As a result, more than 10,000 people have signed an online petition calling for the impeachment of LePage.
The rally was organized by Cushing Samp, a registered Republican from Saco and her friend Becky Halbrook, a registered Democrat from Phippsburg.
