20.12.12 Popham Beach Winter

After attending the Advent Peace Vigil for Disarmament at GD/BIW in Bath, I drove down to Popham Beach via Route 209. Fog, an overcast day with temps in the 30s, chilling winds and the grey Atlantic greeted me at Popham Beach on a winter's day. Arriving an hour before low tide, I decided to walk out to Fox Island, despite one leg shorter than the other and arthritis in one hip. Climbed to the top of Fox Island on the rocky, north side. When I got to the top, I realized that "a bad day at the beach is better than anywhere else".
