19.12.21 Advent Peace Vigil at GD/BIW in Bath

18 Maine peace activists attended the final Advent Peace Vigil for Disarmament at GD/BIW in Bath on Winter Solstice Day, December 21, 2019. Under a sunny sky and temps in the high 20s, the peace activists gathered across from the GD/BIW Administration building at 11:30 AM and marched to the middle employee gate. The large number of shift workers reflected the hiring boom at GD/BIW. As has been happening lately, departing workers took the leaflets and stopped for conversation. The activists marched back to the GD/BIW administration building and held a closing circle of forgiveness and renewal.
The vigils are organized by Smilin' Trees Disarmament Farm of Hope.
