19.12.14 Advent Peace Vigil at GD/BIW in Bath

The torrential downpour delayed the arrival of The Maine Paparazzi for the second Advent Peace Vigil for Disarmament at GD/BIW in Bath on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Under heavy rainfall and temps in the 40s, Maine peace activists marched to the middle employee gate. The large number of shift workers reflected the hiring boom at GD/BIW. As has been happening lately, departing workers took the leaflets. When the group departed and marched back to the GD/BIW administration building, Mary Beth and Maureen stayed behind to talk with a couple of workers. All 13 peace activists held a closing circle in the rain to honor all those struggling for peace and justice throughout the world.
It was raining so much that the Canadian Geese weren't flying in Wiscasset.
