16.12.10 Advent Vigil for Disarmament at GD/BIW in Bath
International Human Rights Day and 22 degrees at 11:30 AM, 17 Maine peace activists gathered for an Advent Peace Vigil at the General Dynamics/Bath Iron Works shipyard in Bath on Saturday, December 10, 2016. As usual, the Maine peace activists gathered in front of the GD/BIW administration building and marched to the workers gate to distribute leaflets at 12 noon.
Hosted by George and Maureen Ostensen of Smilin' Trees Disarmament Farm and Bruce Gagnon of Global Network, the Advent Vigils have been taking place since Phill Berrigan and the Plowshares activists were arrested at GD/BIW in the late 1990s.
