13.10.04 Harry's Harvest Ball - Friday
Harry's Harvest Ball begins on my 68th birthday. Maine, the way life should be.
Storm greets you at the entrance to Harry Brown's farm and makes sure that no bad junk is brought onto the grounds. Surrounded by colorful good looking gals and handsome guys, plus big lush, green (and other colors) marijuana buds, tincture and edibles, The Maine Paparazzi and Harry Brown sit down to reflect on 23 years of hill history. Nuclear Boots with Ben Miklejohn opens on the Main Stage followed by Leaders Led and Jordan Kaulback. As the sun sets, El Grande plays the Main Stage, followed by Nukulele in The Big Tent and Stratospheerius with the Barefoot Truth Dancers back on the Main Stage. HipHop Rappers SPOSE hit the stage and hammer Harry's Hill with Carolyn Chute inspired lyrics about real Mainers. Leaders Led continue their musical assault in The Big Tent while Catherine and Glenn of Medical Marijuana Caregivers of Maine seek comfort and warmth. The treat of the night is the Mallett Brothers Band, a rockabilly band headed by the two sons of David Mallett, the famous Maine folk singer, as they rock and smoke up the Main Stage.
