Temps in the high 80s and a glaring sun drove CGCF attendance down to 15,215 on Sunday for a three day total of 63,254. Steve Zeno, the first legal hemp grower in Maine, informed curious farmers about the possibilities of growing hemp in Maine. CGCF Fair Steering Committee member Sam Brown demonstrated the easiness of the DOT survey. Stan Lofchie and SPA coordinator Gary Lawless posed in front of the Veterans for Peace flag after dedicating a CGCF memorial tree to Loukie Lofchie. As a SPA coordinator, I always take photos of all the exhibits in the SPA area. AFL-CIO troubadour Cynthia Phinney led a labor song singalong and Deborah Hawkins spoke about financing cooperatives as the 2017 CGCF wound down.
