12.09.15 MassCann/NORML Freedom Rally at Boston Common

Bill Trogdon, editor/publisher of Far Out Magazine, has a vending spot next to the MassCann/NORML tent at the annual Boston Freedom Rally held on the Boston Common, which he shares with Radio Free Maine/The Maine Paparazzi. Usually going dawn to dusk on the third weekend of September, this marijuana/hemp friendly rally attracts 60 to 80,000 pot aficionados. Organizer Bill Downing puts together an entertaining and engaging line-up of musicians and speakers, such as medical marijuana advocate Dr. Lester Grinspoon, NORML founder Keith Stroup and US Rep. Barney Frank. Maine visitors included Harry and Cindy Brown, organic farm owners who have allowed their property to be used for Maine's major marijuana festivals for three decades, and the usual suspects from Maine Green Cross, a Maine based medical marijuana patients group. As usual, the Maine Paparazzi was onstage and firing away at 4:20 through the dense cloud of marijuana smoke on the Boston Common.
